Real-Time Luke15: Created for the Prodigal Son Art Festival. Named “Real-Time Luke 15”, because this artwork commemorates a real life example of the three stories Jesus tells of in Luke 15 of a loss, a search to find, and a moment of rejoicing (Parables of the lost coin, lost sheep and lost son) as examples of the joy God takes in restoring what once had gone astray. This artwork reflects the story of the men lost in the 1960 Marie Shipwreck off Santa Barbara’s Santa Cruz (Holy Cross) Island, the search for answers, and the joy gained when you humble yourself at the foot of the cross and let the light of the Heavenly Father’s love restore what was once lost.
