"Jefferson Memorial and JP-1 Series..."

• Jefferson Memorial and JP-1 Portrait, 1998; watercolor (First in series).  The original watercolor hangs in a private collection, 8.5 x 7. This original watercolor is delicately unique and void of anything but lustrous color -- not a pen violates its surface.  This is close to rare for me. 
• Jefferson Memorial and JP-1 Portrait Series, 1998, pen and ink and watercolor on lithograph, 6.25 x 5, (Second and third in series).

In the same spirit as Monet's Iris Series and Van Gogh's Haystack Series, Teresa Newton-Terres’ created the Jefferson Memorial and JP-1 Portrait Series.  Teresa said,  "I was so enamored with the uniqueness of this vantage point I was inspired to create a series - The Jefferson Memorial's grandeur and magnificence is viewed from every footstep along the cherry tree lined tidal basin in Washington DC and because to the right of the memorial is viewed JP-1,” of the current Headquarters of the National Guard Burial's leadership.  After the first image was auctioned off at a fundraiser, Teresa created a second image in pen and ink by returning to the same location.  From this  image, I used my now perfected process and created a limited edition lithograph on the finest watercolor paper, 100% cotton.  Because of this unique process, a select number of clients also have the opportunity to possess a limited edition lithograph or an original watercolor over the lithograph image from...A special vantage point!
