Adecco-Career Accelerator Program, 732-676-0261/cell phone:  540-840-9834   Adecco is delighted to assist the PEC Family Program and all family members in the reserve components.  Below is some basic information outlining the program and how it works.  Their time and benefits with Adecco are fully transferable should they be relocated.

- Adecco Staffing, Adecco Technical, and Ajilon offer temporary to permanent staffing, part-time/full-time, across the nation in capacities from Clerical/Office Work and Light Industrial to IT and professional positions in Legal, Accounting and Consulting.  Positions and offices vary according to division and location.  .

-Career Accelerator Program is designed to assist military spouses of active duty and reserves find employment.  There is no fee of any sort.

-Because many National-Guard/Reserve Spouses have no military installation or Family Services near them, it appears to work out best that spouses simply contact me so I can connect them  to the nearest, most applicable Adecco or Ajilon office for them.  I will make the connection for the spouses and then their relationship with the individual Adecco office will begin.  My contact information:   erin.walerko@adeccona.com     732-676-0261

-As is standard in the Staffing Industry, spouses will be asked to go to the nearest Adecco Office to register and take any necessary employment tests in order to establish their skill sets (in some areas it may be available to do on-line).

-Many employers have caught on to the benefits of hiring military spouses, as they typically possess a strong, dedicated work ethic.  Adecco is very pleased to do what they can to place spouses across the nation.

Spouses to Teachers Program News  -  DANTES has announced the continuance/expansion of the Spouses to Teachers Program. Spouses to Teachers is a Department of Defense pilot project designed to assist spouses of active duty and reserve military members to become public school teachers.  Participating states now include:  California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Virginia, Kansas, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  A reimbursable stipend up to $600 is available to these spouses for teacher certification examinations only. More information on the Spouses to Teachers program can be found at http://www.spousestoteachers.com

Scholarships  -  Scholarships for Military Children program will be available in November at commissaries worldwide as well as online at the http://www.militaryscholar.org Web site or DeCA's site at http://www.commissaries.com. Last year,2004, 500 students received $1,500 scholarship awards. In five years the program, which is administered by Fisher House Foundation and funded by manufacturers and suppliers of groceries and services in the commissary system, has awarded nearly $4 million in scholarships to more than 2,400 students.
